Store hours are often around Mon–Sat 8:00–18:00 and Sun 9:00–12:30, though these can change. Post Office counter times are usually shorter (and closed on Sundays) — please check in-store or call ahead if you need the counter.

Hinstock Primary School

At the heart of village life for local families, Hinstock Primary School is a community school serving children from roughly ages 2 to 11 — including Hedgehogs Nursery for the youngest learners.

The Falcon has been serving residents for over 200 years, and as a community pub since 2023 it is run by the village, for the village. There are regular events — come along for a warm welcome and a well-stocked bar.

Hinstock Memorial Hall

For that special occasion — whether a wedding, engagement, christening, children’s birthday party, 18th or 21st celebration, disco, club or company event — Hinstock Memorial Hall is the ideal venue.

The Hall also hosts a wealth of activities and classes on a weekly and monthly basis. Everything from art classes to Zumba — and everything in between.

Worship

St Oswald’s Church has a thriving congregation — a committed and welcoming group of people who are passionate about their church and village. Sunday worship now includesCafé Church on the 1st and 3rd Sunday at 10:00, plus the occasional Messy Church, a school club called Treasure Seekers, a benefice youth club and regular social events.

Hinstock also has a Methodist Chapel that holds regular services.
